Tai Chi – experiencing and deepening the principles
balanced, relaxed, grounded, moving from the centre and connected within the body and with the mind
The seminar begins with training in awareness; the body is mobilised and opened up, and connected with the mind. There are exercises within this art of movement designed to help us experience and deepen our understanding of these fundamental principles: balanced, relaxed, grounded and moving from the centre, connected within the body and with the mind. We will explore various Qigong exercises that incorporate key aspects of this Tai Chi form, such as elements from Flying Crane Qigong, Hunyuan Qigong and standing meditation. What we have learnt is expanded upon through partner exercises, which provide clear feedback. In doing so, we focus primarily on yielding: the central element of partner work.
Building on the foundations taught in the seminar, we delve into the first part of the Sam Tam Tai Chi form.
The seminar is structured in such a way that it is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience.
No prior experience is required.

>>> Qigong Seminar:
‘Hunyuan Qigong’
Saturday 5 September 26
9.30 am–12.30 pm
The seminar begins by focusing on training the senses; the body is mobilised and opened up, and connected to the mind. There are exercises in this art of movement designed to help participants experience and deepen their understanding of these fundamental principles: balanced, relaxed, grounded and moving from the centre, connected within the body and with the mind. Having learnt this style of movement, we will move on to the gentle and flowing Qigong sequence known as ‘Hunyuan Qigong’. Hunyuan Qigong is based on many individual exercises that are easy to learn, making it ideal for beginners, whilst advanced practitioners can also gain a deeper understanding through these exercises. This form of Qigong was developed by Feng Zhiqiang (a master of Chen Tai Chi).
No prior experience is required.
Price: 70.-
